The 1st of September and suddenly it's Autumn... I was absolutely no ready for that!
I still have some Summer dresses planned. Not only planned, even cut out in pieces ready to be stitched together! And these are not the fashions to be worn with the thick warm tights... I didn't enjoy Spring and Summer this year like I should have. First, for two months there was nowhere to go out because everything was closed including forests and parks... Then I was desperately waiting for Japan - maybe in May, no, so maybe August is possible, no way, so maybe October eventually?... This short Summertime just came and went, and that's it! It's been cold and rainy here for the past few days so of course I immediately caught a cold and now I've been sitting at home, sneezing and being against the whole world. My main enemy - the virus of course.
It took our Japanese holidays from us and there're still no perspectives for the remotest possibility to travel there in the foreseeable future. What's more, we started to plan holidays in Hungary in October but... they've just closed their borders so our days full of red wine and goulash are gone before they even started.
It's still a long time till the calendar Autumn but I just started to wash my sweaters because they will be often used any moment! As soon as I finish with sweaters I'll take all the hats. I even started to think about maybe knitting something new?... But first I must check the wardrobe and decide if I really need another knitted item because you know, I have many already...
Ugotowałam pierwszy ramen tej jesieni. Kupuję śliwki, figi i przepyszne soczyste jabłka. Popatruję w kierunku dyń i batatów.
I cooked my first ramen this Autumn. I keep buying plums, figs and delicious crispy apples. I keep glancing at the pumpkins and sweet potatoes. Any day now it will be the season for cabbage stews, Japanese hot pot, I've been considering the first thick and aromatic broth full of meat and veggies for this weekend. And I still cannot believe the feet nail paiting time is over for now because they won't peek out of the sandals for the next few long cold months....
